According to an announcement by Matsushita on October 18, it will bring a so-called D-dock micro stereo system to the market in November, equipped with an 80Gb HDD on which 40,000 songs or 2,640 hours of music can be stored. In November the company will also launch several new models of the D-snap portable digital music player, which come with an SD memory card. As the stereo system has a card slot for these, music can be transferred from the stereo system to the portable players without using a computer. The stereo system will have a price of around 70,000 Yen, while the portable players will be sold for 14,000 Yen to 20,000 Yen.
